Victorian Faces #7

Day 2 of the 30 in 30 Painting Challenge

Victorian Faces #7
5x5", 12.7x12.7cm
oil on canvas, acrylic ground
This canvas pad was very rough even with extra gesso applied.  I found it difficult to paint the smaller details with any accurancy because the brush skipped over the rough surface.  Will move on to smoother panels I think.

  3. Love it. Rough is good. Aren't we artists hard on ourselves. When I was in
the Orangerie in Paris looking at Monet and Bonnard, I would have been delighted
to see this mixed in with the other paintings. Perfect.

    1. Thank you Barbara! That is a compliment indeed. When I first look I find so many faults in my paintings. I guess that is why we keep painting. Thanks for stopping by. ;)
