These paintings are from when I made the decision to get serious about painting. I found the Daily Paintworks website and this challenge. So I began with kitchen timer set and did these all in one afternoon. It was the spring of 2012, 9 years after I had started classes at the Victoria College of Art. These were also amongst my first experiments with oil paint. I was pretty pleased with myself, but even then it took a lot of stops and starts to get on with it! Lots of mistakes, but I also see bits I like.
