Primrose Yellow. Finished. I think a light coloured frame would look better? #stilllife #evelynoldroydpainting #oilpainting #ilovepainting #instaartist #bcartist #yyjarts #artbyartist #artoftheday #markmaking #brushstrokes #painteveryday #originalart #dailyritual #artforsalebyartist #smallworkofart #smallisbeautiful #stilllifepainting #homedecor #paintfromlife #lifepainting #flowers #flowerpainting #primrose #primula #yellow
Winter Sun. A workshop painting from last year. I worked from my photo of a winter's day where the sun shone down s steep hillside creating a fog-like effect on the ha ground and shaft of sunlight onto to treetops. It was the cold light of winter I tried to capture. #landscape #paletteknife #workshop #fog #mist #burgoynebay #saltspringisland #winterwalk #coldlight #evelynoldroydpainting #oilpainting #ilovepainting #instaartist #bcartist #yyjarts #artbyartist #artoftheday #markmaking #brushstrokes #painteveryday #originalart #dailyritual #artforsalebyartist #smallworkofart #smallisbeautiful #stilllifepainting #homedecor #paintfromlife #lifepainting
Christina Lake. From the public beach, photo reference. This is a palette knife painting (no brushes) started at a workshop last spring. I have done work to do yet on the for ground - which the square format isn't showing. I find I get part-way through a workshop piece then leave it unfinished for some time. It is good I think as I see where it needs work better than when it is fresh if I don't think I should scrap it altogether! #landscapepainting #paletteknife #christinalakebc #beach #water #lake spring #evelynoldroydpainting #oilpainting #ilovepainting #instaartist #bcartist #yyjarts #artbyartist #artoftheday #markmaking #brushstrokes #painteveryday #originalart #dailyritual #artforsalebyartist #smallworkofart #smallisbeautiful #stilllifepainting #homedecor #paintfromlife #lifepainting

Primrose. The fragrance of the flowers filled the room as I painted. So many lovely primrose colours available in the spring. #inspiration #paintlife #whiteprimrose #stilllife #evelynoldroydpainting #oilpainting #ilovepainting #instaartist #bcartist #yyjarts #artbyartist #artoftheday #markmaking #brushstrokes #painteveryday #originalart #dailyritual #artforsalebyartist #smallworkofart #smallisbeautiful #stilllifepainting #homedecor #paintfromlife #lifepainting #white #primrose #flower #flowerpainter #love
