It was close to the autumnal equinox the morning I took this photo. If you squint you can see the many colours and the camera captures an interesting glow. The sun is still hot during the day but the mornings are a little cooler. On these dreary March days with nothing but grey clouds and rain it was lovely to remember the lovely late summer at Christina Lake. The sun comes up over the Santa Rosa Summit, the old road to the Kootenays. A great drive if you have a good vehicle preferably with 4-wheel drive. There are many wonderful old drives through the back country of British Columbia.
